Learn to Weave on a Rigid Heddle Loom!

Rigid Heddle Loom Workshop By Appointment

  • The rigid heddle loom is a table top loom traditionally used to make items such as fabric, scarves, table runners and bed runners (to name a few). Sky uses this apparatus as another tool in her wall hanging arsenal and loves to stretch the limits of this tool.

Sky has two of these looms (80cm and 120cm) and teaches this one on one workshop on the 80cm loom. Prior to your weaving lesson Sky will liaise with you to discuss the type of project you would like to achieve. Note that only a small work of up to approximately 60cm x 60cm can be achieved in the four hour session. For larger projects Sky is happy to discuss ongoing studio time.

All materials for your lesson and project are provided.

This lesson is suited to those who have completed a beginners workshop and would like to explore other weaving techniques. It is also suited to those that are considering purchasing a rigid heddle loom and would like to trial the process.

Never woven anything before but just wanna give it a go??? Sure thing baby...email Sky to discuss.

Please contact Sky for any questions or to set up a date and time.
